Assisted living communities are for people who need assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) but who wish to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. Assisted living communities bridge the gap between independent living and nursing homes. Residents in assisted living communities are not able to live by themselves but do not require constant care. Assisted living communities offer help with ADLs such as eating, bathing, dressing, laundry, housekeeping, and assistance with medications. Assisted living is not an alternative to a nursing home, but an intermediate level of long-term care appropriate for many seniors.
The Woodmoore Assisted Living Community is for people who desire and who are able to live independently but do not want to maintain a home. The Woodmoore is a community where one can live with others of the same age and similar interests in a comfortable and safe environment where almost everything is taken care of.
“Helping Families. Enriching Lives.”
More than a slogan, this is the guiding principle that governs everything we do. We treat residents, their families, and friends with the dignity and respect they deserve. We are committed to privacy and independence while encouraging a full sense of community.
Our goal is to provide excellent personal services while ensuring individual independence, freedom of choice and privacy. At the same time, we strive to create a supportive community atmosphere with daily recreation, activities, and special events to enhance our residents’ enjoyment of life and companion ship. Every member of The Woodmoore staff is dedicated to providing peace of mind for residents and their families.
This is our pledge to you.
